Mira (extract)

Yoshio read the note in the toilet.  He sat on the western-style toilet with the lid down and his trousers on.  He opened the note.  There was a scrawled message. 

The kanji for mirror, or kagame, caught his eye instantly.

Intrigued, he read the note.  It was a haiku.

A pair of mirrors

Face each other at sunset

Three nights, shadow nears

 

He folded the note up and put it in his pocket.  Lessons would be starting again shortly.
